I usually don't complain too much but I find it a bit strange that they start renovating the hallway IN FRONT of my door around 8 o'clock in the morning, with a radio on and work noises. I can understand that maintenance and work has to be done, but it's a hotel, so maybe another time or with a warning maybe? I then wouldn't have bothered that much and go to sleep a bit earlier. Nevertheless, for the rest everything was OK, and I was suppressed with free coffee to-go in the morning at the entrance. It's also great that there is a grocery store next door, ideal for a functional stay.
lhave a horrible experience with the equipment
and treatment of the hotel...
When I checked in I found there is no hot water in the wash basin. It's okay.
But when my girlfriend having bath, there is hot water but just for 5 mins. And then turns into totally cold. I try many times to solve the problem but there is still cold, and my girlfriend is having a bad cold now because of the cold water temperature.
And I try to contact the reception but there is no one answered (reception service will end at 22:00)
So I come out of my house( It's a frozen winter evening) and I found a lady in the reception. But even if she comes to my room she still can't solve that. And she take me to another house, to another room and let me have a quick shower. But when I try the temperature it's also no hot water hhhh.
And I come to reception and have a long argument with the receptionist, and they finally gave me 20% discount for the price.
And there is another thing about unprofessional treatment. I have not order a breakfast, and the hotel and waiters know about that. But after check in they just ask me when will we have breakfast in our room.
(we just watched in the hotel's website and in the description of the hotel they say there is a free breakfast for guests.
we don't know there is a fee for them taking the breakfast to our room and we don't know we have an option to have breakfast in the restaurant of the hotel)
They seem force me to buy the breakfast.
It's the worst experience of staying in a hotel.
I chose the hotel for the good design and wonderful bathtub. But I was soooo disappointed and I won't come to Dresden anymore.
Where do i begin?! We celebrated our wedding here this past summer and the staff at the Villa made the entire experience so memorable and special. The Villa is stunning. It has that rustic charm and every corner of the Villa is more beautiful than the next. It was perfect for capturing some of our wedding photos. We stayed in the Garden Suite and it was so charming and very spacious. From the moment we arrived to leaving it was such a peaceful atmosphere and all of the staff were so helpful, cheerful and a pleasure to be around. We appreciate the attention to detail from the flower arrangement on the table to the food and our wedding cake! Thank you so much for everything and we cannot wait to come back as a tradition to celebrate our anniversaries here in the future. I highly recommend the Villa for a beautiful and memorable setting for an intimate wedding.
Very nice small hotel in authentic looking villa. Expect no high tech or design. The rooms and beds are good and have a great charm. The bathroom could use an upgrade. One point to consider is the hotels restaurant has a Michelin star. Great of course, but when staying longer or for business that might put your budget under pressure (menu starting from 79 to over 100 euro). There is a lounge but no bar to mingle in the evening. Staff was very friendly and helpful. I would love to come back.
Everything here is thought through. We were please by every little detail -with regards to the room (and garden), to the communication, and to the food. Looking forward to coming back.
P.S: special thanks to Ramona :)!
No air-conditioning, so the room is very hot in summer.
Never judge a book by its cover. Because a cover is all this place really is. We had a wedding here. Nice place and service; however, behind the scenes is a completely different story. This was anything but stress free. They don't know how to keep track of a bar tap, and just randomly charge insane amounts after the fact. They "estimated" the wedding cake price since they never asked the actual price; charging more than 100 euros in excess of the actual cost. Oh, the owner takes AMEX, but refused to do so after overcharging us and she just happened to disappear when the bill had to be paid. The attendant called the owner and the owner said "no we just stopped taking it yesterday". Also, simple things that were "no problem and at no additional cost" during the negotiation/scheduling time 6-8 months prior appeared on the bill after the fact. I guess if you're one to judge a book by its cover, this is your hotel; otherwise stay away.
Unprecedented. Wonderful in every aspect. Especially staff was lovely & attentive. Rooms In perfect condition and restautant serves impeccable food + accommodate for vegans
